Read & Reminisce
Venue: Watermark Library Room, Erme Court, Ivybridge, This is a small open group of people that gather to share a cuppa and listen to some stories and poems that are read out loud by the group leaders.Memories are often triggered by this, and shared if people wish. A small voluntary contribution to refreshments is appreciated. Text is provided for those that wish to follow the reading and an opportunity is offered for those that wish to join in the reading out loud, but just listening is fine also. This group includes a Memory Cafe and Carers Support group., and welcomes those with cognitive, memory issues or living with dementia and their carers/family members. Free Service For Hearing Aid Wearers
Venue: The Beacon Room - The Watermark, Ivybridge - PL21 0SZ Do you have a hearing loss or know someone who does? The RNID sessions are run on the second Thursday of each month and can help NHS Hearing aid wearers have their hearing aids cleaned, re-tubed, new batteries and Hearing Checks as well as providing help and information on living with hearing loss. These sessions are being promoted by the Four Rivers Dementia Alliance as people living with dementia can be impacted by hearing loss, isolation and confusion. Rose Newcombe |

These are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 1.00pm. (Some medical conditions are excluded – please ask).
